What is the Devun Walsh Charity Classic?
The DWCC was founded in 2012 when Devun Walsh partnered with the annual KNOWSHOW Golf Tournament for the purpose of fundraising and creating awareness for the fight against cancer. The inaugural tournament put Devun’s off season passion for golf to good work and thanks to the long-time supporters of Devun and the many generous parties that contributed; a total of $10,500 was donated to the Canadian Cancer Society in 2012.
“I have come to love the game of golf over the last ten years and have always dreamed about having my own tournament. Teaming up with KNOWSHOW along with the support of all my sponsors, it has become a reality. After losing my dad to cancer, I have always wanted find a way to contribute to this cause and I’m finally getting a great chance.”
The DWCC returns this summer and will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Richmond BC’s Quilchena Golf Club. We expect to welcome over 100 golfers and the goal for the 2013 tournament is to raise $20,000 for Cancer research, treatment and awareness. We are offering several sponsorship opportunities for the 2013 tournament to gain support from sponsors who want to get their brand or message out to a great mix of influencers. We hope to see you on the greens this August in support of this important cause.
Sponsorship Opportunities are currently available; please contact Perry Pugh for more information at email@example.com.
