KNOWSHOW Events Recap

What a week!

Long days and longer nights are expected during the show, and this summer was no exception. Here's a rundown of some of the events that happened during the show.

The Nixon Breakfast Club

On the morning of Tuesday July 28th, Nixon co-founder Chad DiNenna broke down how their brand came to be, and how they've dealt with growing through these changing and challenging times.

THE KNOWSHOW 10th ANNIVERSARY BOAT CRUISE

There is no doubt that the main event of the show was on the decks of the Magic Spirit cruise liner. 380 or so retailers, brand reps, media and friends sailed out into Coal Harbour for food, drinks, and some great music by Smalltown DJs and DJ Pump. The night was capped of by Vancouver's annual Celebration of Light Fireworks. A big thanks to all of our sponsors who this party couldn't have happened without Postmark BrewingCaptain MorganRed Bull CanadaPoler, InStanceHerschel Supply, Saxx & Vans.

Timebomb's Crab Park BBQ

The crew from Timebomb Trading knows how to entertain. On Tuesday Night they hosted a BBQ at Vancouver's scenic (and somewhat secret) Crab Park for their favourite retailers and industry friends. Chef Dicky Li was on the grill -that special rubbed pork though- , refreshing drinks, good tunes, many laughs and a perfect Vancouver sunset for a perfect place for all to wind down from a hectic first day. On Tuesday after the first day of Knowshow, Vancouver had the opportunity to host an celebratory art show for the 30th Anniversary of the iconic Santa Cruz skateboards Screaming Hand graphic and a tribute to its creator Jim Phillips Sr. The turn out for the event was amazing and the gallery was packed until the very end of the night. Brunette Showroom x Opus Bar

Also on Tuesday Night, Brunette Showroom showed how to #GetRight at Vancouver's Opus Bar. They sent us some flicks from their photo booth and it looked like everyone was having a good time.
